Kaizen Implementation Team(s)

(a.k.a. “Kaizen Team(s)” “Improvement Team(s)”) Team(s) that implement the Lean Manufacturing tools needed to effect improvements.

Comments: Many companies use a single “Kaizen Team” to effect the changes brought about by Lean Manufacturing. We do not recommend this approach as it limits the input and engagement of the workforce in general.

We recommend multiple Kaizen Teams engaging in the improvement process through the implementation and refinement of Lean Manufacturing tools and undertakings. It becomes the “2 heads are better than one” approach and motivates employees plant-wide to become involved in the evolution and improvement of the company.
