A results driven, formula based, set of activities that produces an outcome. Alternate Definition: A series of activities that collectively accomplish a distinct objective.
Comments: In Lean Manufacturing terms a process is a recipe for how something is done. Processes are also closely scrutinized for improvement opportunities.
Example: Even making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich involves passing through a process. If all of the ingredients for your sandwich are located in your kitchen accept your jelly which is located in the Garage, then you would clearly have a process improvement opportunity.
